Multimedia Blog post

My favorite restaurant is Panera Bread. Panera Bread is located in many places where I live.
Panera Bread serves, well, mostly delicious bread. They have breads like Honey Wheat, Tomato Basil Bread, and many more.
Click here for the official website for Panera Bread's Menu. They have many many kinds of amazing breads, they even have soup bowls, with the soup inside of the bread which is absolutely amazing.
My favorite food from Panera is the All Natural Turkey Chili. It's my favorite food because I really love meat in general and chili and both of them combined is like the best meal to me for a everyday of the week. I go to Panera Bread every Friday and I normally get the All Natural Turkey Chili, but I do sometimes get something different but it is rare for me to actually to get something else.
It's my favorite restaurant because it sells a variety of different kinds of bread and soups that I thought I would never try but did eventually.
If Panera Bread were to close down I would probably go to Hooters because they sell really good curly fries and great chicken nuggets. Panera Bread is just so creative in many ways that I actually wanted
to start cooking different meals for people. I really recommend Panera
Bread because of all the different kinds of breads that are there just
make you wanna go crazy and eat it all.

Web 2.0 Do now Writing prompt 12/3/14

If I where to make a new class in the school, I would make a gaming class. The class would mainly be about talking about games and what my students ideas are on the game. It would be held after school in the lunch room. The class will teach you how to look at games from the story line and not how people just play the story mode for fun. It will also help you get your reflexes up, since in most games you need to be paying attention to what is happening to not die. I would bring in a console, my Xbox, and the students and I will go over some games and talk about their story line and what the students thoughts are on the game.
After we would discuss the story mode of the game; we would go to the multiplayer, if it has one, and see how that is. Most games multiplayer isn't as good as the story would be, but others might look the other way around and say the multiplayer is better than the story. This class would make school a lot more fun than it is. I've always wanted to make this class for the better of students that wanted some fun in the school and this is the way they will have their fun.

Web 2.0 Wiki Research

  1. How can a wiki be used in a current class on your schedule (not this course)? Pick a class and be specific how the class could create and use a Wiki on a regular basis (tip: Use the Internet, here is a good source). My 2nd period class, U.S. History, can be used to create a wiki because we have to do a wiki quest for specific topics and write about them.
  2. What are the benefits of using a wiki in class? You can work with your group, unless your forever alone, and talk with them to make sure that you guys have all the right information and that no one is messing up.
  3. How can we create a wiki in this class, what would we contribute to it and how would we utilize it on an on-going basis? You can go to a website called wikihow.com and you can create a wiki and add people you want to help you with your wiki. We would work on certain technology based topics and talk about it with your group, or like I said before forever alone, and tell your group what they should do.
  4. What experience do you have using or creating wikis? I have used a wiki before and I have worked with my group and we made it to where one found some facts, one get some information, and the other get pictures. Then we made it all neat and we got a good grade for it. It is really helpful for people who can't talk in person about who should do what.

Google Glass goes to work

A doctor wearing Google Glass treats a patient. Google is working with companies on bringing the wearable into workplaces to improve productivity.
A nervous new doctor tries put the Google glasses for the first time. When she made her first incision, the Google glasses made a live feed and was streamed from her glasses to a surgeon outside. This makes it where we can see how doctors perform and they can watch it back to see if there was a mistake they made so they know what they did wrong and they can fix it. It will be helpful to most doctors who don't know where they went wrong in surgery.

My Weekend

I played Xbox and listened to music all weekend. Since I got Call of Duty Advance Warfare on Monday; I have been playing it since then and when the weekends came, I no stopped played it until I couldn't stay awake anymore. I was listening to music while playing Advance Warfare. I listen to metal and when I listen to music while playing, I do better than normally. I mostly listen to Avenged Sevenfold when I am playing. To put my weekend short, it's basically my everyday life; I get home, play Xbox and listen to music.

Apple Pay launches today

Apple Pay is finally here. People who have the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus are the only ones who can use Apple Pay. Apple Pay works like this; Apple Pay works by using information via short-range radio waves and when that happens, the special chip inside the iPhone 6 gets a message from Apple Pay. The chip is called NFC, Near Field Communications. When the special chip gets the message, it will charge your credit or debit card, really only what you set up with Apple.

Roughly 75% of mobile app ads are just promoting other apps

Your playing one of your games on your iPhone or iPad and an ad for an app comes up. Doesn't it repetitive when they keep popping up the same ad for the game you really don't want to play nor check out at all? I know I have when it comes down to games that I never stop playing. The game or app that you go on ads that game or other social app. Google is calling it enhanced campaigning and it has started last year and it requires advertisers to buy across multiple platforms, but Google says that it will be changed soon. I can say that games or social apps being advertised by others gets really annoying to the people who just wanna play their game or check up on their personal things and probably should be fixed soon so I can continue on what I started.

Web 2.0 do now 9/29/14

An editorial is an article or publication. What my teachers told me about Wikipedia is that it is mostly not true on what they say and it should not be trusted. Other teachers told me that I could use it for some topics that I can't find from other sites and to make sure that I really couldn't find it. My opinion for Wikipedia is that it's good and that if I really couldn't find what I was looking for I would use Wikipedia. In middle school, my teachers said to never use it.
With Wikipedia, I personally don't mind using it. I don't see anything wrong with it, unless you trust it to much. I don't trust Wikipedia all that well, since from my middle school teachers repeatively telling me to never use it. I fell like if people like my middle school teachers would trust Wikipedia more often. I feel like people could get there work done a lot faster, but still don't always trust it.
What I read from this editorial, has really change my opinion on Wikipedia. It really showed me that Wikipedia can really help people new to searching for information out. People from college and University's have even said that new time students have even loved it after using it for awhile. This editorial makes me want to use Wikipedia more often, but I'm still a bit nervous on using it. For everyone else, you may agree with me or may not agree with me, but I'm really still scared of using Wikipedia for research because of my middle school teachers telling me to never use it and it is wired into my brain, but maybe one day I will get used to using it again.

California OKs first tests of self-driving cars

California is a state for synonymous for cars and has now approved of the self-driving car. Audi and Goggle has both received an autonomous driving permit from California. Audi said that Europe and the U.S. were permitted to test the self-driving cars. Audi also said that California was the best place to test drive almost everything because of the Electronics Research lab is there. If anything I cant wait for a self-driving car, I can get pretty tired after awhile and I think you can all agree on that.

Web 2.0: Multimedia Blog Pre-Posting

One of the classes I am taking this year is Culinary Arts 1 and 2. The teacher is Ms. Olswick. She is very nice and kind and is willing to cook anything at anytime. She even lets us tell her some recipes that we would like to make. I asked to make a Bacon Tart (yes they are real). She said to bring in the recipe and i will eventually. She is the kind of teacher that would know what to do in any situation involving a kitchen.
What I expect to learn in this class is to cook and handle all appliances and to set a table properly, but that is only if I go to a fancy place to eat or if I work there. I also expect to learn how to use all technology related equipment, such as and oven and a microwave (I know, not many technology related equipment). I so far only learned how to make sugar cookies. Which, somehow, came out better than expected for my first time making sugar cookies from scratch. Her grading policy is 40% to cooking and test grades, and 10% to participation and homework. It's hard work doing all the things required to work in a kitchen.
What I am looking forward in this class is the field trips. Ms. Olswick says that the field trips we are going to, obviously, are gonna involve food. From what I heard about last year, some of the students went on a field trip and they got it all kinds of food and I can't wait for that. Mostly, I heard that there is a lot of pizza we get to try and who can resist pizza. I am very happy that I picked this class and I know that I can make a lot of foods that I would probably never eat, but will still try it.

Educational Technology and Copyright Law

What I learned from the article is that pictures are the easiest to get copied righted from and that it is hard to use some pictures in your presentations that you would love to use. Also, I learned that all the ideas that i could have may or may not be taken already, i wouldn't keep my hopes up though. I also learned that using some of the photos can help my grade, i just have to be careful on what pictures I am looking at.

Five million Gmail addresses and passwords dumped online

On the Googles, someone has gotten into 60% of peoples Gmails were taken from Gmail itself and were found as valid Gmail accounts. The chief of technology officer of CSIS, Peter Kruse, said that they are not sure if it was 60% of peoples Gmail accounts were taken. It could have been more than 60% or less than 60%. There researchers analyzed the data and found that it was up to 3 years based on correlations with past leaks. The CSIS found that at least 5 of the leaked accounts user names and passwords weren't used for log-in for Gmail or Google. The CSIS said that even if you don't have any of your passwords were used for Gmail, they are still saying that you should change your passwords on websites that use Gmail. If you wanna see if your account got leaked, they said that if you go to a website called isleaked.com and see if your account is leaked out on the internet.
